Sukar Nation is a Romanian band that has made a name for itself through its innovative and energetic approach to ethno-rock music. Their journey began with a Grand Prize win at the Transylvania International Music and Arts Festival, which set the stage for their successful career. Over 13 years of activity and more than 1,000 concerts, the band has refined its distinctive and captivating style by blending elements of traditional Romanian music with a punk-rock sound infused with contemporary Balkan influences.

BALKAN PUNK ROCK / ROMANIA
The album “Balkan Punk Orchestra,” officially released in March 2025 and later issued on vinyl and CD, is the result of 14 years of artistic development and live experience. An explosive mix of rock, Balkan rhythms, folklore, and a free-spirited attitude, this album tells the story of a generation that refuses to be boxed in. It stands as a celebration of diversity and free spirit, paying tribute to Romanian and Balkan culture. Each track is an invitation to dance, joy, and the exploration of a unique, high-energy musical universe. The release was supported by notable media appearances, including on The Ticket stage, expanding the band’s visibility to a new audience. A key moment in the band’s recent journey was winning the Nesemnații competition, organized by Radio Guerrilla - a distinction that validated their artistic direction and accelerated the release of their debut album.
The album was officially launched with a live performance on March 12 at Club Quantic in Bucharest.
Balkan Punk Orchestra is available in a limited edition of 300 vinyl copies, produced in collaboration with Radio Guerrilla and Electrecord – Romania’s first and most iconic record label.
